Welcome to The Bakehouse

The Bakehouse is an evolution of our original version of La Femme du Fermier.

Over the last couple of years we have concentrated more on our Bar/ Restaurant and now we have reached a point where we can come back more to our roots and combine everything all together.

Originally created for the showcase of foods produced using our home grown Beef and Pork, we have expanded in include a great selection of flavours sure to satisfy every palate

On our farm, we have a small mixed beef herd, with mainly heritage Breed Belted Galloways, with our last Aberdeen Angus and a few cross breed Belties.

On a whole they a grass fed as much as possible; but with the winters usually being very wet, we like to bring them into the barns and fed them quality haylage made on the farm and cereal top up

We also have some Heritage British breed pigs.

We believe by having happy animals, we can produce some tasty high quality meats
